Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
