Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
