Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
