Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 They say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
