Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
