Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
