Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
