The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 has created man, 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
