The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created man 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
