۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
