Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 [and thereupon was told:] "Strike [the ground] with thy foot: here is cool water to wash with and to drink!" 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 Gardens of Eternity, whose doors will (ever) be open to them; 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place. 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 “Here is another group that was with you, falling along with you”; they will answer, “Do not give them plenty of open space; they surely have to enter the fire – let them also be confined!” 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
