So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 They said: "Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt. 63 "Yet we bring to you the truth, and we are truthful. 64 So travel with thy household in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs. Let none of you turn round, but go whither ye are commanded. 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 "And do not disgrace me. Have some fear of God." 69 They said; Have we not forbidden you from (entertaining) anyone? 70 He said: these are my daughters, if act ye must. 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 So they were seized by the mighty blast at break of day; 73 We turned the town upside-down and showered on them lumps of baked clay. 74 Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 75 for, behold, those [towns] stood by a road that still exists. 76 Verily, herein lies a message indeed for all who believe [in God]. 77 And the dwellers in the wood indeed were evil-doers. 78 So, We took vengeance on them. They are both on an open highway, plain to see. 79
