Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Kaf-Ha-Ya-'Ain-Sad. 1 The mention of thy Lord's mercy unto His servant Zachariah; 2 Recall what time he cried unto his Lord with a cry secret. 3 and said, "My Lord, my bones have become feeble and my hair has turned white with age. Yet I have never been deprived in receiving from You the answer to my prayers. 4 I am afraid of what my kinsmen will do after (my death) and my wife is barren. Lord, grant me a son 5 Who will be heir to me, and heir to the house of Jacob; and make him obedient to You, O Lord." 6 O Zakariyya! verily We give thee the glad tidings of a boy: his name shall be Yahya; We have not afore-time made his namesake. 7 He submitted, “My Lord – how can I have a son whereas my wife is barren and I have reached infirmity due to old age?” 8 He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'" 9 He said: my Lord appoint for me a sign. Allah said: thy sign is that thou shalt not speak unto mankind for three nights, while sound. 10 Then he came out to his people from Al-Mihrab (a praying place or a private room, etc.), he told them by signs to glorify Allah's Praises in the morning and in the afternoon. 11 (We said): 'O John, hold fast to the Book', and We bestowed on him judgment while yet a child 12 And tenderness from Us and purity, and he was one who guarded (against evil), 13 And kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or rebellious. 14 And peace is upon him the day he was born, and the day he will taste death, and the day he will be raised alive. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
