(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And ease my task for me; 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 I have chosen you for My service. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
