The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
