O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 Leave them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Surely they who from fear of their Lord are cautious, 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them! 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 behaving arrogantly, and making fun, and talking nonsense (about the Book in your nightly chats)." 67 Have they not pondered over the word of God? Has something come to them that did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Are you asking them for something? What Allah has given you is the best. He is the Best of providers. 72 You are surely calling them to the right path. 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 We already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their Lord nor were they humble; 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
