Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. 100 Then, when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 "Were not My Verses (this Quran) recited to you, and then you used to deny them?" 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 And He will ask: 'How many years did you live on earth' 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 He will say: "You stayed only for a while, if you only knew that. 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 Whosoever calls upon another god, other than Allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his Lord. The unbelievers shall never prosper. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
