The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Blessed be He who has revealed the criterion [the Quran] to His servant that he may warn the nations. 1 He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination. 2 And they have taken beside Him gods creating not aught and are themselves created, owning for themselves neither hurt nor benefit, and owning not death nor life nor resurrection. 3 Yet the unbelievers say: "This is nothing but a lie he has concocted in which others have aided him." They have come down to mischief and lies. 4 They say, "It is just fables of the ancients, which he has had written down. They are dictated to him morning and evening." 5 Say: He has revealed it Who knows the secret in the heavens and the earth; surely He is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 6 And they said, “What is the matter with this (Noble) Messenger, that he eats food and walks in the markets? Why was not an angel sent down along with him, to give warning along with him?” 7 Or, wherefore is not there cast down unto him a treasure or he has a garden whereof he may eat! And the wrong-doers say: ye follow only a man bewitched. 8 Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way. 9
