The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 We saved him and all of his family 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175
