The unbelievers say: "When we become dust, we and our forefathers, shall we really be brought out (from our graves)? 67 It was promised to us and to our fathers before us. It is only ancient legends." 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 And [when] they ask, "When is this promise [of resurrection] to be fulfilled? [Answer this, O you who believe in it,] if you are men of truth!" 71 Say: 'It may be that part of what you seek to hasten on is already riding behind you' 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 This Quran explains to the children of Israel much of what they differ over, 76 And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Verily thy Lord will decide between them by His Decree: and He is Exalted in Might, All-Knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
