The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
