Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 The revelation of the Book (this Quran) is from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists) in which there is not doubt! 2 Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He disposeth every affair from the heaven unto the earth; thereafter it shall ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is one thousand years of that which ye compute. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 He Who has made everything which He has created most good: He began the creation of man with (nothing more than) clay, 7 Then He made his progeny from an extract of water base. 8 Then proportioned and breathed into him of His spirit, and gave you the senses of hearing, sight and feeling. And yet how little are the thanks you offer! 9 They say, "When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be recreated?" Indeed, they deny they will ever meet their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The angel of death appointed over you will take away your soul, then you will be sent back to your Lord." 11
