3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
