3/4 Hizb 45

And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
