3/4 Hizb 45

And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
