THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
