1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 Such is their noble story. The pious ones will certainly have the best place to return. 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 They will be comfortably seated; reclining, they will call for abundant fruit and drink; 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 hell will they have to endure - and how vile a resting-place! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
