To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture? 43 Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"? 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Surely We have created everything according to a measure. 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
