Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 They will enter gardens of Eden with their gates open for them. 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 And they shall say: What is the matter with us that we do not see men whom we used to count among the vicious? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
