The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
