And whoever turns himself away from the remembrance of the Beneficent Allah, We appoint for him a Shaitan, so he becomes his associate. 36 And most surely they turn them away from the path, and they think that they are guided aright: 37 Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate! 38 When ye have done wrong, it will avail you nothing, that Day, that ye shall be partners in Punishment! 39 Then will you make the deaf hear, [O Muhammad], or guide the blind or he who is in clear error? 40 We shall revenge them either after your death 41 or We show thee a part of that We promised them, surely We have power over them. 42 So hold thou fast unto that which has been revealed unto thee; surely thou art upon a straight path. 43 it is certainly a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be called to account. 44 And ask them – did any of the Noble Messengers We sent before you, appoint any other Gods except the Most Gracious, whom they used to worship? 45
