(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 Or do they say: 'He is a poet, we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him' 30 Say, "Wait, I too am waiting with you". 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say, 'He has invented it?' Nay, but they do not believe. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority. 38 What! The daughters for Him, and the sons for you? 39 Do you (Muhammad) ask them for any payment (for your preaching) which they cannot afford? 40 Do they have knowledge of the unseen, thus, are able to predict (the future)? 41 Or do they desire a war? But those who disbelieve shall be the vanquished ones in war. 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 And if they should see a portion of the heaven coming down, they would say: Piled up clouds. 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 Await the judgement of your Lord, for you are always before Our eyes, and glorify your Lord with praises when you rise, 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
