The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 Those on the Left -- how unlucky are those on the Left! 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 Reclining face to face. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 like hidden pearls, 23 The reward for what they did. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 And those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 and amid the extended shade 30 And water everflowing. 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 on raised couches. 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 And have made them virgins. 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
