۞ Have you (O Muhammad SAW) not seen those (hypocrites) who take for friends a people upon whom is the Wrath of Allah (i.e. Jews)? They are neither of you (Muslims) nor of them (Jews), and they swear to a lie while they know. 14 God has prepared a severe punishment for them; surely what they have done is evil. 15 They have made their oaths a shield, and obstruct people from the way of God. There is shameful punishment for them. 16 Never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally 17 The day when Allah will raise them all, they will swear in His presence the way they now swear in front of you, and they will assume that they have achieved something; pay heed! Indeed it is they who are the liars. 18 Satan has gained mastery over them, and has caused them to remain oblivious of the remembrance of God. Such as these are Satan's partisans: oh, verily, it is they, the partisans of Satan, who will truly be the losers! 19 Surely those who oppose God and His Messenger, those are among the most abject. 20 Allah has written down: I will most certainly prevail, I and My apostles; surely Allah is Strong, Mighty. 21 Thou shalt not find any people who believe in God and the Last Day who are loving to anyone who opposes. God and His Messenger, not though they were their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their clan. Those -- He has written faith upon their hearts, and He has confirmed them with a Spirit from Himself; and He shall admit them into gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein to dwell forever, God being well-pleased with them, and they well-pleased with Him. Those are God's party; why, surely God's party -- they are the prosperers. 22
