The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
O thou enveloped! 1 Arise and warn, 2 And thy Sustainer's greatness glorify! 3 purify your garments; 4 And all abomination shun! 5 Do not give, thinking to gain greater 6 And for the sake of your Lord, patiently endure. 7 So when the Trumpet will be blown. 8 Truly, that Day will be a Hard Day. 9 It will not be easy for those who deny the truth. 10 Leave Me and him whom I created alone, 11 And gave him vast wealth. 12 And sons abiding in his presence 13 and whom I have provided with every resource, 14 And who yet coveteth that shall increase. 15 By no means; he is stubbornly opposed to Our Signs. 16 I shall force him to endure a painful uphill climb! 17 For he thought and he plotted -- 18 death seized him, how was his determining! 19 Again, may he be cursed how he plotted; 20 He looked (at others); 21 Then he frowned and he looked in a bad tempered way; 22 Then turned his back and waxed proud, 23 and says, "All this is mere spellbinding eloquence handed down [from olden times]! 24 This is nothing but the word of mortal man!" 25 I will soon fling him into hell. 26 And what will make you know exactly what Hell-fire is? 27 It lets nothing remain and leaves nothing [unburned], 28 it scorches the skin; 29 over it are nineteen. 30 And We have appointed none but the angels to be wardens of the Fire. And their number we have made only a trial for those who disbelieve, so that those who are vouchsafed the Book may be convinced, and that those who believe may increase in faith, and that those who are vouchsafed the Book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the infidels may say: what meaneth Allah by this description! In this wise Allah sendeth astray whomsoever He will, and guideth whomsoever He will. And none knoweth the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but an admonition unto man. 31

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
