The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was nothing to be mentioned? 1 We created man from a drop of mingled fluid so that We might try him; We gave him hearing and sight; 2 Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful. 3 Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze. 4 [whereas,] behold, the truly virtuous shall drink from a cup flavoured with the calyx of sweet-smelling flowers: 5 From a fountain whence the bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to gush abundantly. 6 Those who fulfil their vows and fear the Day whose evil shall be diffused far and wide, 7 they give food, for the love of Him, to the needy, the orphan, the captive: 8 We only feed you for Allah's sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks: 9 "We only fear a Day of distressful Wrath from the side of our Lord." 10 Therefore, God will ward off from them the woes of that Day, and make them find brightness and joy, 11 And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments]. 12 [They will be] reclining therein on adorned couches. They will not see therein any [burning] sun or [freezing] cold. 13 And near above them are its shades, and its [fruit] to be picked will be lowered in compliance. 14 Passed round will be silver flagons and goblets made of glass, 15 (Bright as) glass but (made) of silver, which they (themselves) have measured to the measure (of their deeds). 16 And therein they shall be given to drink of a cup whereof the admixture will be ginger. 17 therein a fountain whose name is called Salsabil. 18 ۞ There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them [as beautiful as] scattered pearls. 19 And when thou lookest them thou shalt behold delight and a dominion magnificent. 20 Upon the inhabitants will be green garments of fine silk and brocade. And they will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a purifying drink. 21 This is your reward. Your endeavour is fully acknowledged. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
