Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 and the severally severing 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 as black camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
