Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 separating one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
