Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
