Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
