Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
