Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
