Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 And such fruits as they desire. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 That is how We reward the good. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 And those that revive by quickening, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
