The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to the stinters who, 1 Those who, when they take by measure from mankind, exact the full, 2 but when they have to measure or weigh whatever they owe to others, give less than what is due! 3 Do they not think that they will be resurrected 4 unto a mighty day 5 The day all mankind will stand before the Lord of all the worlds? 6 Woe to them! Let them know that the records of the sinner's deeds are in Sijin. 7 And what will make you know what Sijjin is? 8 It is a (repository of) distinctly written record. 9 Woe, on that day, to those who have rejected God's revelations 10 those who give the lie to the [coming of] Judgment Day: 11 And none can deny it except every transgressor beyond bounds, (in disbelief, oppression and disobedience of Allah, the sinner!) 12 When Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!" 13 No indeed! The truth is that their hearts have become rusted on account of their evil deeds. 14 By no means! Verily on that Day from their Lord they will be shut out. 15 Then they shall roast in Hell, 16 and who will be told, "This is what you had called a lie". 17 However, the records of the deeds of the virtuous ones will certainly be in Illiyin. 18 Would that you knew what Illiyin is! 19 (It is) a marked Book, 20 The ones nearest to God will bring it to public. 21 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 22 seated on couches and gazing around in wonder. 23 and in their faces you shall know the radiance of bliss. 24 They will be given a drink of pure wine whereon the seal [of God] will have been set, 25 which have the fragrance of musk. This is the kind of place for which one should really aspire. 26 It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. 27 The spring from which drink the ones close to Allah. 28 Verily! (During the worldly life) those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. 29 when them passed them by winking at one another, 30 When they returned to their people they returned jesting; 31 And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray. 32 Yet they were not sent as watchers over them. 33 So, the believers will laugh at the infidels on that day, 34 On thrones, they will look. 35 Surely the disbelievers are rewarded as they did. 36
