۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to (all) the Cities, 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 So We removed them from gardens and springs 57 And from treasures and nice houses. 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 'No, indeed' he replied, 'my Lord is with me and He will guide me' 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 68
