Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 Well-pleased with their endeavour, 9 In a Garden on high, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 raised couches, 13 And cups put in place 14 And cushions lined up 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 And so, [O Prophet,] exhort them; thy task is only to exhort: 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 However, as for him who turns away, being bent on denying the truth, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
