The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
