In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
