The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
