This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
